Newburgh, N.Y. – After dropping five straight games, the Mount Saint Mary College Men's Soccer team collected its second straight conference win on Tuesday with a 1-0 blanking of Sage. Sophomore

Tyler Biscone (Garden City, N.Y.) came up with a big save just 1:21 into the contest on a River Seybolt shot from close range, the Knights settled in before scoring in the 30
th minute.

Mike Zanfardino (Saint James, N.Y.) recorded the team's initial shot, a free kick off the crossbar, in the 14
th minute, before Dolan collected the only marker of the game just under 16 minutes later. He received a pass from
Nick Ciani (Sussex, N.J.) and drove a ball off the inside of the right post and in at the 29:22 mark of the match for his first game winning goal of the season and his second career deciding tally.

The Knights were outshot in the first half on Tuesday 6-4 and Sage took four of the five corner kicks in the initial 45 minutes. Biscone kept the Mount in front with four stops prior to the break.

Sage recorded six more shots after halftime on Tuesday, but forced Biscone to make just one save in the second half. The Gators got off three attempts in the final 12 minutes, with two sailing high and one missing wide.

Dolan's goal gives him the team lead with four and matches his total from a season ago. He now paces the squad with 10 points. Ciani became the 11
th Knight to record a point on the season with his assist on the game winner.

Biscone picked up his second straight shutout in goal, matching his season-high with five saves. He raised his save percentage to .675 in the win and lowered his goals against average to 1.72.
Sage finished the game with a 12-7 edge in overall shots and a slim 5-4 advantage in shots on goal. Neither team attempted a corner kick in the second half, with Sage finishing the game with a 4-1 advantage in the category.

Tuesday's win pushes Mount Saint Mary to 3-5 overall on the season and to 2-0 in Skyline Conference play. Next up for the Knights is a trip to Yeshiva on Sunday night. Kick-off at Votee Park in Teaneck, N.J. is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
