Mahwah, N.J. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team wrapped up play at the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday with a pair of 3-0 non-conference losses. The Knights were topped by Ramapo 15-25, 19-25, 11-25 to open the day and fell for the second time in three meetings this season to FDU-Florham by scores of 22-25, 25-27, 22-25.

Saturday's opener saw Ramapo hit .275 as a team, while the Mount was held to just 20 kills and a .021 team attack percentage. The Roadrunners made just 11 errors over the three sets and hit better than .200 in each of the three stanzas.

Junior
Megan Williams (Glenmont, N.Y.) led the Mount's offensive attack with six kills and added a career-high eight digs. Senior
Rachel Sabatini (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) chipped in with five winners and five digs, while freshman
Morgan Burke (Ringwood, N.J.) contributed four kills for the Knights.

Sophomore
Kim Gries (Hicksville, N.Y.) led the Mount with 13 assists and added four digs and freshman
Madelyn Barberan (Fishkill, N.Y.) rounded out the match with 18 digs.

Ramapo was paced by 14 kills from Larysa Iwaskiw who chipped in with nine digs and a pair of service aces. Kate Shirley handed out 15 assists to lead the team and Karina Almeda led the way for Ramapo with 11 digs.

Overall, Ramapo held a 39-30 advantage in kills and an 8-3 advantage in service aces, with Sarah Mulligan leading the way with three in the contest.

In the second match of the day, the Knights received double-figures in kills from both Sabatini and Williams in a tightly contested tilt that featured 40 ties and 21 lead changes.

Sabatini registered a season-high 13 kills against the Devils to go along with nine digs and a team-high three service aces. Williams reached double-figures in kills for the third time this season, putting away 10 winners to go along with three block assists.

Senior
Angelia Cirigliano (Newburgh, N.Y.) reached the 20 digs plateau for the second time this season with a team-high 20. Barberan finished in double-figures in digs for the seventh time this season, posting a new career-high with 19 against the Devils.

Gries finished the second contest of the day with a season-high 30 assists to go along with six digs, while Burke closed the contest with a pair of winners and a team-high four total blocks.

Lauren Harris led the Devils with 12 kills and was one of four players with at least 10 digs with 12. Meliisa Gaffney put away 10 winners and Courtney Conte finished off a double-double with 29 assists and 19 digs. Rachel Catena led all players in the match with 25 digs.

FDU-Florham finished the match with a slim 39-36 advantage in kills and recorded nine of the 16 service aces in the match. Total team blocks in the match were even at 6-6.

Saturday's defeats drop Mount Saint Mary to 2-12 overall on the season. The Knights will return to action on Wednesday when they open a four match home stand against Brooklyn College. Match time at the Kaplan Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
