Newburgh, N.Y. –
Seniors Melissa Guillemette (Branford, Conn.) and Melissa Maini (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) combined for three goals and eight points on Wednesday as the Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team rolled to a 7-0 home win on senior night.

Mount Saint Mary went into halftime on Monday leading by two goals after freshman Maeve O'Sullivan (Garden City Park, N.Y.) and Guillemette cashed in goals in the opening period. O'Sullivan converted her fifth goal of the year and tied Guillemette for the team lead in game winning tallies with three on her goal in the fifth minute. Guillemette followed just over a minute later with her eighth goal of the year off a feed from Alaina Neddermann (Prospect, Conn.).

The Knights outshot Yeshiva 11-0 prior to halftime and took four corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes. Yeshiva goalkeeper Annie Jaffe made four stops prior to the break for the Maccabees.

Mount Saint Mary exploded for five goals after halftime on Wednesday with Maini and freshman Jacqueline Davis (Islip Terrance, N.Y.) each finishing with a goal and a pair of helpers after the break. Guillemette cashed in her second goal of the game and her team leading ninth of the season in the 71st minute, with Maini scoring her fourth goal of the year in the 77th minute.

The Knights closed out the dominating effort with a 30-0 advantage in overall shots and a 20-0 edge in shots on goal. Mount Saint Mary took all nine corner kicks awarded during the tilt.

Sophomore Mary Riley (Newburgh, N.Y.) picked up her ninth shutout of the season without having to make a save in the game. She lowered her goals against average to an even 1.00 in 1,620 minutes of work. Jaffe rounded out the night with 12 stops for Yeshiva.

Wednesday's win moves Mount Saint Mary to 12-5-1 overall on the season and to 8-1-0 in Skyline Conference play. Next up for the Knights is a non-conference road game at #5 William Smith. Kick-off with the Herons is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
