St. Joseph's Enrique Tirado scored off a feed from Fabio Alves at the 87:36 mark to give the Golden Eagles the win on Saturday. The Knights have now dropped eight-straight regular season matchups to St. Joseph's.

The Knights jumped out to an early lead in Saturday's contest, when senior midfielder Sean Lockwood (Manahawkin, N.J.) beat Golden Eagle keeper Avery Gomez at the 1:17 mark to take a 1-0 lead. That did not last long, as Chris Hall tied the game for St. Joe's at the 4:59 mark.

St. Joe's grabbed the lead later in the first half. Andrew Stasiewicz managed to put one past senior goalkeeper Matt Darling (Staatsburg, N.Y.) in the 27th minute to give the Golden Eagles a 2-1 lead. Senior midfielder Brandon Mincher (Bayport, N.Y.) knotted the game up at two goals apiece early in the second half, scoring off a pass from junior defender Chris Marchese (Cold Spring, N.Y.) in the 52nd minute.

Darling made five saves in Saturday's contest, but allowed three goals to shoulder the loss. Gomez stopped four shots en route to his second win of the season.

Shots were even on the day, as each team fired off 11. The Golden Eagles held a slight edge in corner kicks, earning four to the Knights' three.

The Knights look to bounce back in their next matchup, which takes place in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Mount will take on Farmingdale State College on Friday, Oct. 18, in a Skyline Conference matchup. The game is set to kick off at 4 p.m.
