NEWBURGH, NY – The Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team put in an impressive showing on Wednesday night, dropping the Maritime College Privateers in three sets (25-10, 25-8, 25-13). The Blue Knights are now 17-13 overall on the season.
On senior night, the Blue Knights honored
Katie Toole (Wallkill, N.Y.) and she showed up big, contributing 26 assists and 2 digs. Toole needs just 40 more assists to become the first Blue Knight to reach the 2,000 assist mark. Helping the effort was sophomore
Courtney Kenney (Hicksville, N.Y.) who had 6 kills and 6 digs. Junior
Elizabeth Douress (Rahway, N.J.) and freshman
Mary Ann Raftery (Long Beach, N.Y.) also pitched in with six kills each.
With the victory, the Blue Knights have clinched the fourth spot in the Skyline Conference standings. The Blue Knights close out their regular season on Saturday October 31 against Misericordia at 1 p.m. in the Kaplan Center. They'll host a Skyline tournament match next Wednesday.
