BROOKLYN, NY – Collecting their third win of the last four matches, the Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team defeated Medgar Evers in straight sets (25-15, 25-14, 25-13) in non-conference action on Wednesday. The Blue Knights improved to 15-12 overall.

Mary Ann Raftery (Long Beach, N.Y.) continued here recent strong play and led the team with 9 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore
Teresa Sorrentino (Bellerose, N.Y.) tallied 8 kills and 9 digs while senior
Katie Toole (Wallkill, N.Y.) finished with 24 assists. Despite playing in just one set, sophomore
Taylor Graham (Milford, Conn.) racked up 4 kills in just 6 attempts.
Mount Saint Mary will host a Skyline Conference tri-match on Saturday, October 24. The Blue Knights will take on Purchase College in the opening match at 11:00 a.m. They close the day against Farmingdale State College, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
