Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Like Coach Strano, assistant coach Frank Sanfilippo will enter his 12th season with the Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball program in 2014.  Sanfilippo's ties to volleyball in the Hudson Valley run deep, stetching back more than 20 years, and his experience is a valuable asset to the program at the Mount.

Sanfilippo first began playing competitive volleyball at the age of 26.  Since then, he has had several local involvements, including a five-year stint with Kaboom of USA Volleyball.  Prior to that, Sanfilippo played with and against head coach Mike Strano in the Mid-Hudson Volleyball Association.  They have also worked together to run Hudson Valley Volleyball, a monthly weekend tournament held during the summer in Beacon, New York.

Sanfilippo has been tied to the Empire State Games and the Masters Division of Volleyball since 1994.  During that time, Sanfilippo has helped the Hudson Valley region earn three gold medals and six bronze medals as a player/coach.

Sanfilippo is a lifelong native of Newburgh, New York.
