John A. Viniello joins the women’s basketball staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2014-15 season.
After graduating from Fordham University, John became a teacher/coach at St. Mary’s/John F. Kennedy High School in Somers, N.Y. Between basketball and cross country, he led all coaches with the most wins in the school’s history.
A lifelong friend of Richard “Digger” Phelps, the legendary basketball coach at Notre Dame, he has used many of “Digger's” practice drills , defense and offensive concepts during his years of coaching.
John resides in Brewster, N.Y.
