Kevin Longacre

Kevin Longacre entered his 15th season as head coach of the Mount Saint Mary College men’s soccer program in 2025—the winningest coach in program history with an overall record of 129–102–31 and an 85–36–21 mark in Skyline Conference play.

In 2025, Longacre guided the Knights to a 6–5–7 record and a 3–3–5 Skyline mark while coaching Marco Mazzarelli to his second straight First Team All-Skyline selection.

In 2022, Mount Saint Mary reached the Skyline Championship for the fourth consecutive season, highlighted by First Team All-Conference honorees Connor Doyle, Joseph Mesoraca, and Matt Wyant. Doyle was named Skyline Offensive Player of the Year, and Wyant earned United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region honors.

Longacre earned his 100th career victory in 2021, following a dominant stretch in 2018–19 in which the Knights won 28 games, went unbeaten in Skyline play in 2019, matched a program-record 14 wins in both seasons, and captured back-to-back Skyline Conference Championships. He was named Skyline Coach of the Year in 2019—his fourth time receiving the award.

In 2017–18, Longacre led the Knights to consecutive Skyline titles, including an 8–1 conference record, a regular season championship, and the program’s second NCAA Tournament appearance in 2017. That year, he mentored Joey Dolan and Nick Ciani, who swept Skyline Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dolan set program records for single-season and career goals.

From 2013–16, Longacre established the foundation of the program’s rise. The Knights captured their first-ever Skyline Championship in 2013, followed by an 8–1 Skyline mark and regular season title in 2014, when Longacre earned Skyline Coach of the Year and Matt Garcia was named Skyline Player of the Year. Across those seasons, Mount Saint Mary consistently produced All-Conference and All-Region selections.

Longacre arrived at the Mount in 2011, immediately improving the Knights and leading them to back-to-back postseason runs—culminating in the program’s first conference finals appearance in 2012, when he earned his first Skyline Coach of the Year honor.

Before joining Mount Saint Mary, Longacre spent 10 seasons at Dutchess Community College, where his teams were nationally ranked six times and he was named Region XV Coach of the Year (2002). He also founded the Goal to Goal Soccer Academy and has been a longtime contributor to youth development through the Soccer Plus Academy of Newburgh.

A former standout at the University of Richmond, Longacre finished his career ranked fifth all-time in goals (25) and seventh in points (62).

He resides in Poughkeepsie with his wife, Kate, and their son, Jack.
