Dave Mires returns to the Mount Saint Mary College men’s soccer staff for his second season in 2010. He will be responsible for recruiting, on-field coaching, player development, goalkeeper training, and alumni relations.
Before his arrival at the Mount, Mires was a two-year member of the men’s soccer team at Manhattan College. He also played for two years at SUNY Ulster, helping his team to a national ranking in each of the two years.
Since 2007, Mires has served in several capacities with F. C. Quickstrike. Initially as a camp instructor and a technical trainer, he is now the assistant coach for the U13 Boys Premier Team. Mires is also on staff at the Soccer Plus Academy in Newburgh.
Mires holds a National D License from the United States Soccer Federation, completed in 2008. In 2010, Mires earned a Goalkeeping Level III Diploma from the NSCAA.
Mires graduated from Manhattan College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He also earned an associate’s degree from SUNY Ulster in 2005.
Mires is a lifelong resident of Pine Bush, New York.
