Ryan Kadlubowski enters his 16th season—and 17th year overall—as the head coach of the Mount Saint Mary College men’s basketball program in 2025-26.
Throughout his tenure, he has led the Knights to eight Skyline Conference postseason appearances, four ECAC Tournament berths, and the 2012 ECAC Metro Championship. A two-time Skyline Coach of the Year (2011, 2014), Kadlubowski owns a 140-128 (.522) Skyline record and has mentored 15 All-Conference selections, eight 1,000-point scorers, two All-Region honorees, two All-Met picks, a Skyline Rookie of the Year, and an ECAC Metro Rookie of the Year.
Most recently, during the 2024-25 season, the Knights earned four victories—three in Skyline play—and senior forward Connor Cyran reached the 1,000-point milestone under Kadlubowski’s guidance. Two student-athletes were named to the NABC Honors Court, following a 2023-24 season in which four players earned NABC academic honors.
One of Kadlubowski’s most successful seasons came in 2013-14, when Mount Saint Mary finished 21-7 overall and 16-2 in the Skyline Conference, advancing to the Skyline Championship game while earning a fourth straight ECAC Metro Tournament berth. That year featured standout performances from Donte Howell ’14 and Chris Pisciotta ’14, who were both First Team All-Skyline selections, with Howell also earning All-Region and All-Met honors while surpassing 1,000 career points. Joe Henain added to the historic season by setting multiple program records, including the career blocks mark (183).
Another major campaign came in 2012-13, when the Knights went 19-9 overall and 14-4 in the conference, earning berths in both the Skyline and ECAC Metro Tournaments. The season featured Joe Stabach ’14 reaching the 1,000-point milestone on his way to finishing third all-time in scoring (1,411 points), while Henain broke the single-season blocks record (68) and gained national recognition on the Allstate NABC Good Works Team for his community service.
Kadlubowski’s most decorated year came in 2011-12, when he guided the program to a school-record 23-7 season and the first ECAC Metro Championship in school history. Carlos Valdez ’12 became the first Knight to collect 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, and Kevin Milella ’12 also surpassed the 1,000-point plateau. The previous season, 2010-11, Kadlubowski earned his first Skyline Coach of the Year honor after leading the Knights to a 19-9 record and a 16-4 Skyline finish.
Before arriving at Mount Saint Mary, Kadlubowski served as an assistant coach at the University of Rochester, helping guide the Yellowjackets to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet Sixteen run in 2007-08. He later coached at Washington & Lee, where his recruiting efforts contributed to the Generals’ strongest three-year stretch in more than two decades.
As a student-athlete at Rochester, Kadlubowski competed in three NCAA Tournaments, including a Final Four appearance in 2001-02 and a Sweet Sixteen berth in 2002-03. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Rochester and later completed a master’s degree in sports leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Kadlubowski resides in Poughquag, N.Y., with his wife, Jenn, and their daughters, Madeline and Norah.
