Rich Anderson joined the Mount Saint Mary College coaching staff in 2016. A Newburgh, NY native, Anderson serves as the infield coach, also assisting with hitting development and game management. A 1989 Mount graduate, Anderson was a member of the college's first NCAA baseball team in 1988.
Prior to returning to Mount Saint Mary College, Anderson founded and managed the Newburgh Knights travel baseball program. Anderson's teams won numerous league and tournament championships, while sending over 50 players to the college ranks. In addition, Anderson coached baseball, softball and basketball for over 20 years in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District.
A Social Studies teacher at Newburgh Free Academy in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, Anderson resides in Newburgh with his wife Kristy, and children Katie and Jack.
