Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary traveled to Long Island to take on rival Farmingdale State College for another Skyline Conference doubleheader. Both games in this series would be a pitching battle, with neither team recording a base runner until the bottom of the 3rd. The Rams scored first with an RBI single to go up 1-0.
Chloe Graham recorded the first hit for the Knights the following inning with a single to left field.
With runs hard to come by, Farmingdale felt confident with just a 1-0 lead late in the game.
Allie Kenney would hit a lead-off double in the top of the 6th to rally the Mount Saint Mary offense.
Angela Christopher would lay down a sacrifice bunt to move
Brianna Marie Duffy over to third after coming in as a pinch runner. The Knights just needed to put a decent ground ball in play, but were unable to as the Rams got themselves out of a jam. Farmingdale added an insurance run in the 6th to make it 2-0, and Mount Saint Mary was unable to score in the 7th, as they lost game one 2-0.

Game 2
The Basics
Score: Mount Saint Mary College 0, Farmingdale 1
Records: Mount Saint Mary College (9-13, 5-1 Skyline) | Hunter (10-20, 4-0)
Rapid Recap
The Knights hoped to rebound in game two with
Grace MacDonald back on the mound. MacDonald gave up just two runs on the day after pitching 12.0 solid innings for the Mount. Once again, both pitchers bore down, not allowing anything easy to get past them. Farmingdale would be the team to score first in the bottom of the 3rd in the second straight game to take a 1-0 lead.
We would only see a combined seven hits this game, with four of them coming from the Knights. With two outs in the top of the 4th,
Chloe Graham blasted a double to right-center field, but would be left stranded. The Mount had chances to score in the final two innings of the game, starting with a lead-off walk from
Allie Kenney and a two-out single from
Dana Donnelly to put two runners on. They were unable to score; however, Mount Saint Mary was able to get two runners back on in the 7th with a single from
Grace MacDonald and an error from the Rams, allowing
Grace Reich to reach first. The Knights were unfortunately not able to score yet again, as they lost game two to Farmingdale 1-0.
