LaGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary men's golf team finished atop the group for a first-place victory in the Manhattanville Spring Invitational.

How It Happened
In the Knights' first match of the spring season,
Charles Bezold was not only the top finisher for the team, shooting a 78 (+6) on the day, but also finished ahead of the pack by two strokes to help lead the Mount to victory.
Gabe Hill (+10) and
Ruslan Makarenko (+12) both had solid days on the course as well, with top ten finishes.
Nicholas Crudo and
Jack Pieloch tied with 85 strokes (+13) to round out the 4th scoring spot for Mount Saint Mary, which got them tied for 10th in the tournament. As a team, the Knights finished +41 to give them a seven-stroke victory over 2nd place Old Westbury (+48), followed by Yeshiva (+50) and the host team, Manhattanville (+54).

Mount Saint Mary will look to continue their stellar play tomorrow into Saturday at the Bellport Long Island Championship hosted by St. Joseph's University Long Island as part of a two-day event.
