Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College got back in action after 2 weeks off against SUNY Cobleskill, looking to earn its first win. The Knights got off to a quick start with Henry Micyk finding Devin Lanzer for the opening goal. Cobleskill scored the equalizing goal moments later to make it 1-1. The remainder of the quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with each team trading goals until Ryan Ciuffo would give the Mount a 3-2 lead off a Hayden Mitchell assist.

The Mount Saint Mary defense was stout this game, with Luke Dombroski and Carter Laughman combining for 5 caused turnovers. Kenny Leen was kept fairly clean, stopping 6 of the 11 shots on target from the Tigers. The Knights struggled offensively in the second quarter, allowing Cobleskill to take a 4-3 lead. Henry Micyk would take the ball himself late in the quarter to tie things up 4-4 heading into the half.

Starting with the ball due to a man-up opportunity, Cobleskill was able to score and take back the lead. This is where the Knights' defense began to fluster the Tigers' offense, not allowing a single goal in the final 29:39. Henry Micyk would both score and assist on the next 2 goals, finding Joseph Corallo to give the Mount a 6-5 lead.

The Knights added a couple more goals in the fourth quarter, as Devin Lanzer completed his first-career hat trick. The Mount blocked as many shots as the Tigers had on goal in the final 15 minutes of play, putting their bodies on the line to earn the victory. Mount Saint Mary would come out victorious by the final score of 8-5 over Cobleskill.
