Score: Mount Saint Mary College 14, UMSV 1
Records: Mount Saint Mary College (5-8, 2-1 Skyline) | UMSV (6-10, 1-2)

Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary finally hosted its first matches of the season back home in Newburgh, New York. Grace MacDonald got the ball on the bump for the Knights, striking out the side after walking the first batter. The Mount got off to a fantastic start in the bottom of the 1st, starting with a spectacular bunt from Dana Donnelly to put runners on first and second. Chloe Graham and Grace Reich would both record RBI singles in the inning, with Ariana Corrente adding a two-RBI triple as the Knights led 4-0 after one. Although MacDonald struggled to find the zone at some points in the game, she was perfect when it mattered most, getting out of a bases-loaded jam in the 2nd inning, and allowing just one hit and zero runs.

The Knights would double their score in the bottom half of the 3rd with RBI singles from Ariana Corrente, Grace Reich, and Allie Kenney. Corrente would lead the team with 4 RBIs this game, a new career-high for her. The Mount would have yet another big inning in the 4th, scoring six more runs and tallying six more hits. A couple of errors from the Dolphins allowed the first two runs in the inning to score, then four singles from Allie KenneyOlivia King, Michaela Manger, and Chloe Graham would all score runners to make it 14-0. Peyton Dost would come in to pitch the final inning as Mount Saint Mary defeated Mount Saint Vincent 14-1 in game one via mercy rule in five innings.

Rapid Recap
The Knights would look for a sweep in game two, but this one would be much closer than the first. This game would be a pitcher's duel, with no runs being allowed through four innings, although both teams had chances to score. Mount Saint Vincent left two runners on in the top of the 1st, but Grace MacDonald got herself out of a jam. The Knights would load the bases with singles from Dana Donnelly and Grace Terpening; however, they would be left stranded.

Mount Saint Mary would be the first team to strike, but it wouldn't be until the 5th inning. A lead-off double from Angela Christopher got the team going. Dana Donnelly would score Christopher with an RBI single, followed by RBI doubles from Grace Terpening and Ariana Corrente to put MSMC up 4-0. The Dolphins scored a run of their own in the top of the 6th, but this would be the only run they would score all day off of Grace MacDonald. The Knights were threatening once again with bases loaded in the bottom half of the inning with two outs, though Mount Saint Vincent was able to get out of it. Mount Saint Mary would come away with a 4-1 win in game two after a 1-2-3 inning in the 7th to sweep Mount Saint Vincent.
