Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College looked to build off its win at Old Westbury with another road match at Mount Saint Vincent. Delisianna Naccarato, the Knights' top goal scorer and points leader, would score the first goal of the game to put them up 1-0. Evelyn Shannon would find Shannon McGowan to extend their lead just moments later. The Dolphins were able to get on the board after a penalty from the Knights to make it 2-1. Mount Saint Mary's defense, led by seniors Gabriela DiPalma, Peyton Curley, and captain Briana Fassett, helped to force 20 Mount Saint Vincent turnovers. Freshman defender Danica Valente has provided great two-way play on a short-staffed roster, scoring two goals and two assists in this game.

The Knights led 3-1 at the start of the second quarter, and their one-two punch in Delisianna Naccarato and Shannon McGowan helped extend their lead to 4-1. The Dolphins were able to respond with a goal of their own moments later. Naccarato continued to dominate with another two goals in the quarter, with her last goal assisted by Antonia Licardi as Mount Saint Mary led 6-2 entering the half.

The Knights and Dolphins would trade goals in the third quarter, but Mount Saint Mary's offense exploded for three goals in a 1:22 span to blow open the game and make it 10-3. Danica Valente, Delisianna Naccarato, and Shannon McGowan all added unassisted goals to help separate the Knights heading into the fourth quarter.

Kasey Senior notched two of her three goals on the day in the fourth quarter, with Valente also scoring one of her two goals and one of her two assists as well in the period. The Knights led by as much as 10 goals in the quarter as they shut out the Dolphins in the final 15 minutes of play.
