Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College continued its 4-game road stand against Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon. The Colonels struck first in the 7th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Freshman fogo, Joseph Corallo, had a great day on the faceoff circle, going 12 for 19 with 6 ground balls and a goal, giving the Knights multiple extra offensive possessions. The Mount's offense would struggle once again, being held to 8 goals or less for the 4th straight game to start the season. Wilkes added another couple of goals to round out the first quarter as they led 3-0 after 15 minutes.

The Knights' offense would wake up to open the second quarter, with Joseph Corallo creating a spark with a goal right off the faceoff in the first 11 seconds. Less than a minute later, Brandon Pagano would find Robby Maurer for another Mount Saint Mary goal to make it 3-2. In the first 3:03 of the second period, the Knights tied things up as Pagano would take it himself for another MSMC goal. Wilkes flipped the script during the remainder of the half, scoring 4 unanswered goals to make it 7-3.

Kenny Leen was stout between the pipes for the Mount, making 15 saves and picking up 6 ground balls. Mount Saint Mary would get back on the board at the 9:58 mark in the third quarter with Henry Micyk scoring off an assist from Hayden Mitchell. This would be the last goal for the Knights for the rest of the match, as neither team scored for the remainder of the quarter.

The Colonels added 3 more goals for good measure in the fourth quarter to put them up 11-4. Mount Saint Mary will look to get back on track as they take on Albertus Magnus this Wednesday for their third of four straight road games.
