Mount Saint Mary looked to get in the win column for the first time in Florida against North Park University. The Vikings jumped out of the gate with 3 runs in the top of the 1st.
Christian Parisa got the Knights going with a leadoff triple, and
Noah Anderson would score him next at bat, taking advantage of a North Park error. The Vikings scored 13 runs over the course of the next 3 innings, putting them ahead 16-1 in the 4th. Mount Saint Mary struggled on both sides of the ball, not scoring another run until the bottom of the 6th when
Chris Kiamos scored off a wild pitch. Both Kiamos and
Nico Simou were lone bright spots for the Knights, as Simou went 3 for 3 with an RBI and Kiamos went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Mount Saint Mary would score 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th, starting with a single from
Kyle O'Sullivan and a double from
Leo Giancaspro. The Mount would fall to North Park by the final score of 19-7.
