Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College took on St. Joseph's Brooklyn on the road, a team that has won three straight after starting off the year 0-7 in Skyline play. The Bears opened up the game on a 9-2 run, forcing a Knights timeout, where JP Egan would knock down a three thereafter. The Mount trailed by as much as 11 in the first half, but would begin to turn things around. A couple of threes from Brenden Graham and Justin Rivera cut the Brooklyn lead to just 2. The Knights' bench came up big towards the end of the first to help tie the game off an Anthony Marzziotti long ball. They never took the lead from the bears, however, Mount Saint Mary would trail by just one point, 42-41, heading into the half.

St. Joe's opened up the second with a three, but 9-straight from the Mount gave them a 50-45 lead, their first of the game. The Knights were able to shoot better than the Bears this game at 39.4%, but were outrebounded 33-24, and Brooklyn more than doubled their attempts at the free throw line. The Bears took the lead back with 12:54 left, as a 9-0 run put them up 61-55. Mount Saint Mary responded with 7 unanswered points of their own, as the Knights' leading scorer this game, Matthew Walsh, took the lead right back. Walsh finished with a team-high 16 points, as he now leads the team with 9.4 points per game. Both teams went back and forth, with JP Egan finding Justin Rivera for the game-tying three, and Conor Gemmil for the lead with just over 3 minutes to go. The Knights struggled in the final few minutes, only scoring 2 points and forcing them to foul the Bears. Brooklyn wasn't necessarily great from the line in the closing moments, but the Mount could not put the ball in the basket. St. Joe's would come away with the victory over the Knights 80-74.
