NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary College freshman point guard Reese Mayer was named the Skyline Conference women's basketball Rookie of the Year as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Mayer had a fantastic season running point for the Knights this season, leading the Skyline in assists per game (4.5) and assist/turnover ratio (2.0). She was also t-59th in DIII in assists per game, 65th in assist/turnover ratio, and t-75th in assists. On the year, Mayer averaged 7.8 points per game on 40.1% shooting and 80.2% from the line, 4.5 rebounds per game, 4.1 assists per game, and 1.7 steals per game.
