NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Mount Saint Mary College women's basketball team is set to face Sarah Lawrence College in the Skyline Conference Opening Round on Wednesday, February 25, at 6:30 p.m. inside the Kaplan Center Gym.
The No. 3-seeded Knights will host the No. 6-seeded Gryphons after Sarah Lawrence earned a 78–70 victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn this past Saturday. Mount Saint Mary begins its quest to defend the Skyline Conference Championship on its home floor, having already defeated Sarah Lawrence twice during the regular season.
The Knights claimed both matchups this year, starting with an 85–58 victory at the Kaplan Center earlier in the season. Mount Saint Mary also holds a perfect 16–0 all-time record against the Gryphons, with the closest contest coming last month in Bronxville, where the Knights secured a 76–60 win.
Leading the way for Mount Saint Mary is senior Brianna Guglielmo, who is averaging 20.5 points per game against Sarah Lawrence this season. Fellow forwards Sara Cashin and Maggie Trinkaus have also made an impact, each averaging double figures against the Gryphons.
