Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary got off to a rough start as the Bears got 4 of their 8 hits in the top of the 1st. They turned those hits into 3 runs to jump out to an early 3-0 lead. Autumn Strobach singled in the bottom half of the inning, followed by a walk from Chloe Graham. The next two batters for the Mount would strike out, leaving Strobach and Graham stranded. St. Joseph's was able to load the bases up in the 2nd, but Grace MacDonald settled in and got the Knights out of a jam. With 2 outs, Michaela Manger singled, the Dana Donnelly would get a base hit, yet she was thrown out at second trying to extend it to a double. Mount Saint Mary was able to make great contact all game long, though their bat luck was not there.

MacDonald led off the bottom of the 4th with a single as the Knights looked to get on the board. A sacrifice bunt from Grace Terpening put MacDonald in scoring position. Madison White singled and put runner on the corners with just 1 out. Mount Saint Mary was still unable to get any runs on the board as they came out of the 4th down 3-0. Once again, in the bottom of the 5th the Mount had 2 runners on, but a great play from the Bears' second baseman got St. Joe's out of the inning unharmed. The Bears extended their lead to 4-0 in the top of the 6th. After singling to lead off the bottom half of the inning, Grace Terpening made it all the way to third base, and would get no further as the Knights could not seem to drive in a run. Mount Saint Mary put their rally caps on in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs. Singles from Autumn Strobach and Chloe Graham put runners on the corners, then they both advanced off a wild pitch to score a run. Grace MacDonald singled to advance Graham to third and put the tying run at bat. Terpening would make good contact, but the ball was caught by the center fielder to end the game as St. Joe's won 4-1.
