Things did not start off well for the Knights, as they would turn the ball over 8 times and face a 5-0 deficit before getting their first shot on goal. The Mount was caught off guard by the Rams' pressure as they could not get anything going offensively before coughing up the ball. Farmingdale would build a 7-0 lead after the first quarter of play. The Knights finally got on the board in the second quarter as
Kasey Senior and
Delisianna Naccarato were able to string together a couple of goals and cut their deficit to 5. A free-position goal for the Rams quickly iced any momentum Mount Saint Mary had, as Farmingdale went on a 7-1 run to end the half up 14-3.
While as a team they struggled to score this game,
Delisianna Naccarato was able to notch 5 goals, including the first one of the second half. After this, the Knights went on yet another offensive drought for the remainder of the quarter. Farmingdale continued to add to their lead, going up by as much as 15 in this game. The Mount started to show some signs of life towards the end of the game with 3 straight goals, but it was ultimately too late, as Farmingdale won by the final score of 19-7.
