Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary opened the game with Julia McGrinder winning the opening draw control, as she led the Knights with 6 controls. The Mount got 2 shots off on their opening possession, but both would be saved. The Mariners struck first minutes later to take the lead. They would continue to score 3 more unanswered goals as Merchant Marine jumped out to an early 4-0 lead. The Knights responded off the ensuing draw control win from Karlie Ferrucci as Delisianna Naccarato set up Ferrucci for their first goal of the game. Naccarato added another with just under 2 minutes left in the quarter as Mount Saint Mary seemed to be gaining momentum. Merchant Marine scored 30 seconds into the second quarter, tallying a total of 4 goals in the first 5 minutes to take an 8-2 lead. Shannon McGowan scored the lone for the Mount in the second.

The Mariners offense was just too much for Mount Saint Mary to handle, as they extended their lead to 12-3 in the second half. Kasey Senior converted on her free-position attempt to notch another goal for the Knights, but they still trailed 13-4. The Mount struggled to maintain possession of the ball, losing to the turnover battle 25-10 and turning the ball over 10 times in the first quarter. Peyton Curley and Liz Petrellese combined for 14 saves this game as both goalies split the two halves. In the fourth quarter, Anastazia Sakowicz would be assisted by Karlie Ferrucci to score her lone goal of the game. Ferrucci ended the game with her second goal at the 44-second mark as the Mariners defeated Mount Saint Mary 17-6.
