NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College softball team took home both wins in their doubleheader with Sarah Lawrence.

Grace MacDonald started off the game by going through their first three batters 1-2-3, and then the offense got rolling.
Grace Reich singled to lead off, then
Autumn Strobach tripled, putting the first run on the board for the Knights. They weren't done there, as
Michaela Manger doubled with the bases loaded to extend their lead to 5-0.
Dana Donnelly added another run with an RBI single. In the bottom of the 2nd, the Mount kept their bats going with
Allie Kenney singling to score 2 runs and put the Knights up 9-0.
Grace MacDonald continued to deal and not allow a single base runner through 3 innings. In the bottom half of the 3rd, Mount Saint Mary scored another 6 runs, including RBIs from
Chloe Graham,
Ariana Corrente,
Megan Mann, and
Christina Merola.
Peyton Dost took the mound in the top of the 4th and was just as dominant, not giving up a single hit or run. Graham would record her 5th RBI of the day in the bottom of the 4th, as the Knights tacked on another 4 runs to go up 19-0. Dost and MacDonald would finish the game with a combined no-hitter as Mount Saint Mary took home the first game 19-0 in 5 innings.

Grace MacDonald took the mound for the start of game two and continued where she left off. On the day, she pitched a combined 5.0 innings with 11 strikeouts and not a single runner reaching base. The Knights' offense kept it rolling into the second game of the series as 6 different players recorded RBIs in just the bottom of the 1st.
Grace Terpening had 3 RBIs in her two plate appearances in the inning, including a double as they led 11-0. The Mount put up yet another double-digit run inning in the bottom half of the 2nd.

Megan Mann all recorded hits to drive in runs as they extended their lead to 24-0.
Dana Donnelly came in for MacDonald in relief and was able to hold off the Gryphons from scoring after getting 2 runners on base. The Knights got a few more hits, but were unable to match their high-scoring first two innings.
Christina Fiumara came in to pitch and close out the game in the top of the 5th. She struck out 2 batters and ended the game with a fly out as the Knights swept Sarah Lawrence and won game two 24-0.
