Rapid Recap
Things did not look good for Mount Saint Mary early on as they quickly went down 3-0 before Antonia Licardi would get one on the board for the Knights. FDU tacked on a couple more goals to lead 5-1 with 3:36 left in the first quarter. The Mount needed a wake-up call and they responded. With just a minute left in the quarter, Delisianna Naccarato would score 1 of her 6 goals on the afternoon followed by a goal from Shannon McGowan with only 4 seconds on the clock. The Knights continued their run into the second quarter, where Peyton Curley would not allow a single goal for the remainder of the half. Offensively, Delisianna Naccarato tied the game up 6-6 with two goals of her own, and then Antonia Licardi assisted Shannon McGowan to take the lead. With just seconds remaining, Naccarato would find Licardi to cap off a 6-0 run for Mount Saint Mary to close out the half.

The Devils came out on the first possession of the third quarter and scored, but this did not rattle the Knights. Anastazia Sakowicz converted a free position goal and Karlie Ferrucci assisted Kasey Senior, who had her first career hattrick this game, to put the Mount up 11-7. Peyton Curley continued to make big saves for the Knights in goal, as she walked away with a career-high 13 saves this afternoon. Mount Saint Mary still had to finish the job as they led 12-9 after the third quarter. FDU cut their deficit to just 2 with the first goal of the quarter, but the Knights continued to show resilience as Victoria Maffettone converted a free position goal for her first of a season-best 2 goals this game. A masterclass defensive play by Delisianna Naccarato forced the Devil's goalie to turn the ball over right to Kasey Senior who buried it right into the back of the net. The Knights were not done yet, adding 3 more goals to finish off FDU 17-10.
