Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary started off with Shannon McGowan and Delisianna Naccarato setting each other up for goals to take an early 2-0 lead. From here, the Knights would stall offensively, allowing the Bears to take advantage and close out the first quarter with 3 goals, taking a 3-2 lead. Western New England also scored the first goal of the second quarter extending their lead to 4-2. The Mount could not take advantage of a woman-up opportunity, but Karlie Ferrucci would be fouled allowing for a free position attempt. Ferrucci would convert, getting the Knights back on the board. The Bears tacked 2 more on the scoreboard as Mount Saint Mary could not get much going on offense. Karlie Ferrucci had a chance to cut their deficit towards the end of the half but drilled the post on a free position attempt as Western New England led 6-3 after two quarters.

It was a defensive battle to start the third quarter as only one goal was scored between the two in the first 11 minutes. The Bears took an 8-3 lead as the scoring drought for the Knights continued. The Mount scored back-to-back goals late in the quarter from Victoria Maffettone and Kasey Senior as they seemed to be gaining momentum. Western New England quickly shut down any sort of run for the Knights, scoring 3 goals in a 1:24 span to go up 11-5. Mount Saint Mary didn't quit, as Delisianna Nacarato made it a 4-goal game with a couple of scores of her own, but it was ultimately too late for a comeback as the Knights lost to the Bears 11-7.
