LEESBURG, Fla. – The Mount Saint Mary College softball team was bested by North Central Illinois in their second game of the day Monday evening.

Mount Saint Mary started off with
Grace Reich hitting a single up the middle at leadoff.
Chloe Graham would walk, and both she and Reich would steal second and third to get into scoring position. The Knights would strike first as
Grace MacDonald hit an RBI single to score Reich from third. North Central would tie the game up in the bottom half of the inning, then take the lead in the second with a couple of RBI singles.
Autumn Strobach singled in the top of the 3rd as she has swung the bat well to start her career, but this was the only time the Knights would have a base runner till the 5th inning.
Down 3-1,
Allie Kenney would get on base with a single to left field in the top of the 5th.
Grace Reich would walk to get runners on first and second, yet the Knights were unable to take advantage. The Cardinals unleashed in the bottom of the 6th, adding 4 runs onto their lead to go up 7-1. Mount Saint Mary was unable to get anything going in the top of the 7th as they would fall to North Central Illinois 7-1.
