Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary started off the game with two turnovers, allowing Bard to score the first goal of the game a few minutes in. The Knights did a great job pressuring the Raptor's defense, forcing them to commit 30 turnovers. Delisianna Naccarato, coming off a career-high 6 goals, evened up the scoreboard minutes later. Julia McGrinder notched her first goal this year to put the Mount up 2-1. The Knights created plenty of opportunities for themselves, out-shooting Bard 11-3 in the first quarter and 45-15 in the game, allowing them to take a 3-1 lead after the first quarter. A yellow card allowed the Raptors to take advantage and score, but Delisianna Naccarato and Shannon McGowan would respond right after to put the Knights up 5-2. Bard quickly marched their way back in thanks to a few penalties committed by Mount Saint Mary. With the momentum shifting, the Knights regrouped and closed out the half on a 4-0 run, including Natasha Diaz-Santiago's first career goal, to put them up 9-5.

The Mount tallied 2 more goals at the start of the second half to extend their lead to 11-5. Liz Petrellese took over for Peyton Curley in net for the start of the third quarter, as both goalies have split halves in the first two games of the season. The Knights were not only stuffing the stat sheet with goals but also made a valiant effort to secure ground balls. The team set a new program record with 49 ground balls, crushing their previous record of 41, and Karlie Ferrucci tied the program record for most ground balls in a game with 10. Mount Saint Mary would be held scoreless for the remainder of the quarter and led 11-6, but would start the fourth down two players. Bard would put another goal in the back of the net with a woman-up opportunity as they looked to start a comeback. The Knights would score a barrage of goals to close out the game starting with a woman-up goal from Alejandra De Leon, her first of the season. Mount Saint Mary would defeat Bard by the final score of 15-7.
