NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Freshman midfielder Kaitlyn Shotter of the women's soccer team and freshman Joseph Scarola of the men's swim team have been named this week's Knights of the Week.
 
Shotter had one of the greatest playoff performances in MSMC women's soccer history, scoring both goals in the Knights 2-1 victory at Farmingdale State College. She helped provide the teams first ever playoff victory over the Rams in program history.

Scarola has gotten his freshman season off to a hot start, placing in the top three four times in his first two meets, earning himself Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week. In their meet against William Paterson, Scarola was the top scorer for the men, placing first in the 500 Yard Freestyle, second in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle, and third in the 200 Yard Freestyle.
