The Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team took a brief break from Skyline Conference play, traveling to take on Russell Sage College in their final non-conference matchup of the 2025 season. Mount Saint Mary was able to push into the attacking half by creating space behind the Russell Sage defense with strong play in the midfield and fast passing combinations. The Knights were able to create their own good looks offensively, testing the Russell Sage goalkeeper throughout the game and placing numerous shots on goal.The offense failed to find the finishing touch to take the lead, even though they controlled possession of the ball in the first half.
 
Maintaining their composure and organization, Mount Saint Mary's backline made excellent defensive plays to thwart multiple close calls from the Gators. The Knights' defenders maintained discipline in their roles as Russell Sage increased their offensive in the second half, blocking passing lanes and charging to intercept through balls before they could become significant threats. The defensive unit was led by freshman goalkeeper Julianna Ewashko who turned in an impressive performance between the posts for the Knights. Tested on several occasions throughout the match, she came up big when called upon, making three key saves to keep Russell Sage off the board. Her efforts earned her the first clean sheet of her collegiate career. The Knights ultimately maintained their solid defensive focus, earning a critical clean sheet and carrying that energy into the second half of Skyline Conference play.
