BRONX, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College men's basketball lost their Skyline Conference match this afternoon to the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

Mount Saint Mary started off the game down 6-0 early, before
JP Egan would get the Knights on the board with his three-point make. Egan was moved into the starting lineup due to injury where he performed well, scoring 11 points in 20 minutes while shooting 4-7 from the field. A 7-0 run that included five points from
Ryan Graham brought the Mount to within a point to make the score 11-10 UMSV. From here, the Dolphins notched 10 unanswered and would start to gather a lead. Mount Saint Vincent led by as many as 20 in the first half as they were simply able to outshoot the Knights 54.55% to 35.71%.
Mount Saint Mary had a lot of work to do coming out of the half down 43-26. The Dolphins were able to keep their distance on the scoreboard even after some good plays by
Connor Cyran,
Ryan Graham, and
Rob Geremino. Down 27 at the 12:30 mark, the Knights attempted to mount a comeback after an
AJ Piedra made three. A 15-2 Mount Saint Mary run cut their deficit to single digits, but it was ultimately too late as Mount Saint Vincent was able to hold them off. The Knights would eventually lose this one to the Dolphins 82-68.
