Casey Love, who had a career-high 17 points this game, converted an and-one of her own. The Mount's offensive aggressiveness paid off, as they went a perfect 10-10 at the free throw line in the first quarter and 23-27 throughout the game. Mount Saint Mary led 22-13 entering the second quarter as they received production from everyone this afternoon. A three-ball from
Ciarra Quinn gave the Knights a double-digit lead with just under 7 minutes left in the half. They controlled almost every portion of the game, more than doubling the Rams on the glass with 51 rebounds to their 23. The Knights defensively were just as good as they were offensively, forcing Farmingdale to shoot a worse percentage with each ensuing quarter, an average of 20.0% from the field.
Coming out of the half, the Mount was up by 19, leading 42-23.
Sara Cashin grabbed an offensive rebound for the putback to get the scoring going for them. Once again, all 11 active players for the Knights scored, with everyone scoring at least 4 points and playing at least 12 minutes. A 12-0 run for the Knights ended the third quarter, making the score 59-31 in favor of Mount Saint Mary. They would bring this run into the fourth quarter, extending it to 17-0. During this run, the Mount held the Rams to without a made field goal for 10:01.
Lauren Petrie got it going in the fourth, scoring 11 of her 14 points on the day. The Knights went perfect from three-point range in the fourth and shot 52.9% from three on the game, their highest in any game this season. Mount Saint Mary would win this one over the Rams 90-37, including a 31-6 fourth quarter.
