Ryan Graham got the Knights going with two free throws as he was aggressive early.
Connor Cyran was the main scorer for the Mount as he scored 11 points in the first 10 minutes including three makes from behind the arc, but they still trailed 21-15. If the Knights were to win this one, they were going to need to have multiple players step up on offense. The Mount had the game to within two possessions on multiple occasions, but Maritime would lead 38-26 at the half.
The Knights trailed by double digits to start the half, yet they were still playing hard knowing they had a chance to knock off one of the best teams in the conference. Junior guard
Brenden Graham had one of his best offensive performances of the season, knocking down 5 of his 7 shots for 12 points. The Mount could not crack that 10-point threshold and rebounding had a lot to do with that. Maritime out-rebounded the Knights 48-31 including 16 offensive rebounds that led to 18 second-chance points. Mount Saint Mary hung around, but ultimately could not get the job done as they fell to Maritime 74-56.
