GROTON, Conn.– The Mount Saint Mary College men's golf team competed in the Mitchell College Invitational where Trevor Zamudio would make the first hole-in-one in school history and the Knights would win by 13 strokes.

How It Happened

• Zamudio lined up at the 15th hole and placed a perfect shot into the hole to get his first hole-in-one of his career and school history.
• Ruslan Makarenko the reining Skyline Rookie of the Week had another strong performance securing co-medalist honors shooting three over par with a 74.

Coaches Corner
Coach Andy Crane was very proud of how his team extended their winning streak once again this season. Crane praised Zamudio for getting the first hole-in-one in Mount Saint Mary College history. "Awesome for Trevor getting a hole-in-one, really proud of him. He's playing some great golf right now and just to see one go in the hole was like the cherry on top of a very solid round."  Makarenko has also been performing well beyond Crane's expectations. "What more can we say about Ruslan? He is playing well above expectations as a freshman. He's playing more as a well seasoned veteran and he just seems to get better every time he tees up."
