Purchase, NY (April 7th, 2024) – The Mount Saint Mary College Knights softball team had a rough outing in their doubleheader against the Manhattanville Valiants. Although the Knights faced defeat in both games, they demonstrated glimpses of their offensive potential and the ability to put pressure on their opponents.
Game 1:
The Knights found themselves in an early hole in game one, unable to contain Manhattanville's offensive surge. The Valiants struck quickly, capitalizing on walks and timely hits to build a substantial lead. The Mount couldn't muster a response, managing only six hits and failing to score a run.

Grace MacDonald pitched 5.2 innings, allowing eight runs (two earned) while striking out one.

Game 2:
In game two, the Knights came out swinging, determined to reverse their fortunes. Despite facing a 5-0 deficit after three innings, they refused to back down. However, Manhattanville's pitching proved too strong, ultimately limiting the Knights to no runs across seven innings in a 7-0 loss.
