Newburgh, NY- The Mount Saint Mary College Knights (5-16, 3-9 Skyline) fell just one point short to the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (10-11, 7-5 Skyline) in a close game on Saturday.
Despite a valiant effort, the Knights were unable to overcome a late deficit, falling 75-74. The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than 9Â points at any point.
The Knights were led in scoring by Connor Cyran with 21 points. Ryan Graham added 18 points, and Brenden Graham chipped in with 12 points.
As a team, the Knights shot 26 for 50 from the field (52.0%) and 6 for 17 from three-point range (35.3%). They also made 16 of their 20 free throws (80.0%).
The Knights will look to bounce back from this loss when they travel to take on Farmingdale College on February 7th at 7:00 PM.
