Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary traveled down to Long Island to face the undefeated Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's. The Knights got off to a rocky start, trailing 10-0 before Sara Cashin got them on the board at the 5:20 mark in the first quarter. The Mount finished the quarter strong with 10 points in the last half of the quarter as they trailed 18-10 heading into the second. Sara Cashin and Erin Lofaro found success down low against the Golden Eagles, as post-play and cutting were the Knights's bread and butter for the remainder of the game. They took the lead and headed into the half up 31-29.

The Knights continued to dominate in the paint, with the offenses of both teams being polar opposites tonight. Mount Saint Mary shot a solid 40.3% from the field but was only 2-15 from three, while St. Joseph's shot 33.9% from the field but found success from beyond the arc at 10-26. The Mount went on a run during the final two minutes of the third, scoring seven straight to lead 48-39. The Knights scored the first bucket of the quarter, but fouls began to pile up quickly for them. The Golden Eagles began to slowly chip away at the Mount's double-digit lead and, in the closing minutes, took back the lead 60-58. With 32 seconds remaining, Erin Lofaro converted a huge and-one layup to give the Knights a one-point lead. On the ensuing possession, St. Joseph's secured an offensive rebound and scored taking the lead. The Knights were unable to respond on their final shot and fell on the road to the Golden Eagles 66-63.
