Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary was coming off a victory against Old Westbury and looked to build more momentum against the Bears. The Knights struggled shooting-wise in the first quarter only knocking down 31.58% of their shots. Their offensive rebounding ability made up for that, as the Mount's 21 offensive rebounds matched the total number of rebounds St. Joseph's Brooklyn had all game. Surprisingly, Margaret Trinkaus was the first scorer for the Knights with her first career three-pointer. Mount Saint Mary had another great all-around game from everyone. Seven different players scored for the Knights as they led 18-10 after the first quarter. The Mount dominated in every aspect of the game and had by far their best overall shooting performance of the season. Everyone was cooking beyond the arc including Casey Love, who knocked down her first of the season. The Knights headed into the half up 40-19.

Mount Saint Mary opened up the third quarter on a 12-0 run but didn't stop there. They continued to put the pressure on St. Joseph's defense who seemed to have no answer for their attack. The Knights made a season-high six three-pointers in the third quarter and shot 61.9% from the field. Erin Lofaro scored seven of her game-high 14 points in the third as the Mount led 72-34 after three. Ciarra Quinn was a sharpshooter for the Knights this evening, burning three of her four attempts from beyond the arc. All 11 active players for the Knights scored this game, and everyone played at least 15 minutes. Kate Hughes led Mount Saint Mary in minutes played (22) and rebounds (9) as the graduate forward continues to work her way back into things after missing all of last season. The Knights beat the Bears by the final score of 93-42.
