Cashin Leads Knights To Victory Over Visiting Rams

Newburgh, NY-

The Mount Saint Mary College Knights (8-5, 7-1 Skyline) overcame a slow start to dominate the Farmingdale Rams (5-8, 3-5 Skyline) by a score of 89-61 on Tuesday night at Kaplan Recreation Center. Coach Marion Diet lauded the effort, stating, "Great team win, Slow start, but we had big minutes from our bench again and had great ball movement. Excited to keep moving forward with this group!"

Despite falling behind early, the Knights found their rhythm midway through the first quarter, thanks to the scoring prowess of Charlotte Twohig, who knocked down 7 points in the period. By halftime, the Knights had built a 18-point lead, fueled by a balanced attack and strong defensive intensity.

The second half saw the Knights continue to roll, extending their lead to 28 points by the end of the third quarter. Brianna Guglielmo and Sara Cashin stepped up offensively in the second half, combining for 21 points to ensure the Knights' comfortable victory.

"It was great to see everyone contribute tonight," Coach Diet added. "We knew Farmingdale would be a tough matchup, but our energy and focus never wavered. We're looking forward to building on this momentum as we head into the rest of the season."
