Box Score Ithaca, NY- It's often discussed among coaches and players, what it means to be a team player.  That question was answered today when Mary Langan stepped up versus Bombers when her team needed her.  Unfortunately the Knights goalie Elizabeth Lennane went down in the 32^nd minute with an injury, and Coach Lyn, turned to his senior midfielder.

Mary Langan took to the net for the team and played her heart out.  Entering the game down a goal, and playing out of position, Langan, who is not a native keeper, gave 100% effort to keep her teammate in the game.  While the scoresheet doesn't show her effort or non-statistical plays, those who were able to watch the game, saw a player rise to the occasion and be a true athlete.  Seeing 24 shots, and facing 10 corners, Langan kept the Bombers to only adding 4 goals.

The next game for the team will be Saturday the 9^th, at Salisbury University.  The team will be playing two games this weekend, at the Salisbury University Women's soccer classic.
