Box Score New Paltz, NY- Day 2 New Paltz Invitational

Game 1 MSMC vs Russell Sage
Game 2 Day 2 for the Knights and the results were much of the same for team.  Dropping three straight sets to the Gators.  Much like yesterday, we had our big players step up and lead the team.  Once again Jonaiya Williams led the team in kills (6) and Allie Kenney lead in assists (7).  Defensively Erin Lema and Aubriana Boyce lead the team with 6 digs a piece.
 
Game 2 MSMC vs New Paltz
The Knights came alive in the third game of the New Paltz Invitational.  Facing the tournament host team, the Knights felt they were in it each set.  Losing each by less than a handful of points, the team is starting to heat up at the right time. 

Once again Lema and Williams lead the office with 6 kills each, and Aubriana Boyce had a big game with 12 assists.  Vanessa Mleczko was huge on defense with 19 digs, followed by her teammate Erin Lema.
 
After the tournament finished, Coach Strano was excited with what he saw, "We were still struggling this morning to find the spark, but this afternoon against New Paltz, the team seemed to find their rhythm and we were able to play a strong competitive match against the hosts.  Although it was a loss, the team felt really good about the way we played against New Paltz and are feeling more confident as we get ready for the home opener Thursday"

The team will begin their home season this coming Thursday at 7pm as they take on Rutgers-Newark.
