Maccabees Push Past Knights in Skyline Conference Game

Newburgh, NY-

On a rainy Sunday afternoon the Yeshiva Maccabees took on the Mount Saint Mary Knights in a Skyline Conference matchup. The energy was high as the Knights came out strong against a competitive Yeshiva team. But, it wasn't enough as the Maccabees took the win with a score of 82 to 58.

Game Overview

The first half was tight with both teams going back on forth. Mount Saint Mary played very smart and Yeshiva got into foul trouble quickly and the Mount was able to capitalize on many free throw opportunities. Down by 9 at the half, the Knights were determined to have a strong second half. But, defense errors and turnovers allowed Yeshiva to get the lead for the rest of the game. The Knights are now 0-3 in Skyline Conference play.

"We had too many simple mistakes offensively and defensively today. A good team like Yeshiva made us pay for them all game. We'll learn from this game and be better for the future," Head Coach Kadlubowski.
