New York, NY- The Mount Saint Mary College Knights faced off against Yeshiva in a hard-fought battle on the road. Despite their best efforts, the Knights fell short, with a final score of 74-79.
The game showcased intense competition from both sides, with Mount Saint Mary College taking a 38-29 lead in the first half. However, Yeshiva turned the tide in the second half, outscoring the Knights 50-36 to secure the victory.
Jayden Figueroa led the Knights with an impressive performance, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Connor Cyran contributed 14 points, while
Ryan Graham added 11 points.
The game saw several lead changes, with both teams fighting for points each time they traveled down the court. The Knights showcased their shooting in the first half, shooting at 43.1% from the field. However, Yeshiva's strong second-half performance, shooting at 51.85%, ultimately determined the outcome.
"I'm extremely proud of how well we competed tonight. We have vastly improved over these past three games, tough road games, and we now know what we are capable of as a team" said Coach Kad after the game.
The Mount will be hosting their first home game of the season this Friday. It will be an exciting day of basketball as the the evening kicks off the Hudson Valley Tournament. At 6pm, Vassar will be taking on SUNY New Paltz, and following that match up the Knights will be hosting Bard College at 8pm. Make sure you find your way to the Kaplan Center and Support the Men!
