Women’s Volleyball Schedule Features Eight Home Matches, Two Invitationals

Season opens with tournaments at Cazenovia, New Paltz

Newburgh, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College Head Women's Volleyball Coach Mike Strano revealed his program's 2022 match schedule Tuesday afternoon. The slate includes trips to Cazenovia and New Paltz for multi-day invitationals, eight home matches ands a full 11-match Skyline Conference schedule.
 
The 2022 season gets underway with a trip to Cazenovia September 2-3 and continues the following weekend when the Knights play three matches at the New Paltz Hawks Invitational September 9-10.
 
Skyline Conference play commences on September 15 with the home opener against Yeshiva before the Knights hit the road again for a non-conference tilt at Hunter on September 17. The Knights return home for a tri-match with league rival the College of Mount Saint Vincent and John Jay on September 24 before hitting the road for four straight matches.
 
Mount Saint Mary will travel to Farmingdale State, Montclair State for a tri-match with Brooklyn and Manhattanville before returning home for a season-long three-match home stand that includes league contests with St. Joseph's-L.I. and Sarah Lawrence.
 
The Knights take to the road for a second four-match home stand October 13-19 before closing the regular season with two of its final three matches at home. The Mount welcomes Purchase to the Kaplan Center on October 22 before finishing off the regular season on October 27 against the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
 
The top six teams in the conference standings will advance to the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament which begins on November 1 and continues on November 3 with the Semifinal Round. The conference crown will be handed out on November 5 along with the league's berth into the NCAA Tournament.
 
Mount Saint Mary finished the 2021 season with a 14-15 overall record and a 7-4 mark in conference play, qualifying for the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament for the 14th straight season.
