Dominick Marzigliano (Highland Mills, N.Y.) leads the Mount's offense with a .365 average, posting team-highs in hits with 27 and home runs with three. He adds 13 RBI and 15 runs scored while ripping six doubles and going a perfect 12-for-12 in stolen base chances.
Coleman Barnes (New Hampton, N.Y.) leads the Mount with 17 RBI and is hitting at a .351 clip. Barnes has laced five doubles and driven a pair of home runs.
Anthony Franco (Franklin Square, N.Y.) has returned from injury and is hitting .424 in 33 at-bats, recording five extra base hits, while scoring 10 runs.
Ryan Lutinski (Easton, Pa.) and
Brandon Nolasco (Chester, N.Y.) have each driven in 14 runs for the Mount with both players adding a pair of home runs. Lutinski adds six doubles for the Knights and is hitting .286 in 49 at-bats.
Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) leads the pitching staff with an even 2.00 earned run average in a team-high 45.0 innings pitched. He holds a 4-2 record for the Knights and has fanned 21 hitters.
Liam Horan (Stony Point, N.Y.) has won a pair of ball games for the Mount and fanned a team-high 30 in 32.0 innings pitched.
Scouting USMMA: The Mariners will take on the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday and start the weekend at 18-13 overall and 9-3 in Skyline Conference play.
Joey Zannetti begins the weekend hitting an impressive .405 in 111 at-bats, ripping 14 doubles, scoring 37 runs and driving in 25. Noah Herdman leads the team with 38 RBI, clubbing five home runs, and is hitting .352 with 31 runs scored.
The Mariners hit .324 as a team and feature six players with at least 20 RBI on the season.
Tyler Reistetter leads the pitching staff with four wins, 50.0 innings pitched and 59 strikeouts, while pitching to a 3.96 earned run average. Kole Register is 3-2 on the season for the Mariners, fanning 36 in 42.0 innings pitched to go along with a 3.21 earned run average.
Recent History: Since 2017, the two teams have met eight times with each team collecting four victories. The Mariners have won the last three contests, sweeping a doubleheader at Dutchess Stadium in the last meeting between the two programs in 2019.
