Baseball Set For Midweek Tilt At Albertus Magnus

Knights, Falcons scheduled for 5:30 p.m. start

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Baseball team takes to the road on Wednesday for a midweek non-conference contest at Albertus Magnus. Live Stats will be available for those who cannot attend the 5:30 p.m. contest.
 
At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary enters Wednesday's game at 9-14 overall following a pair of 2-1 Skyline Conference losses at Manhattanville on Sunday.
 
Dominick Marzigliano (Highland Mills, N.Y.) enters the new week with a .362 batting average and with a team-high 25 hits. He has laced five doubles, a triple and connected on a pair of home runs. He is third on the team in RBI with 10 and is the team leader with 13 runs scored, while holding a .481 on-base percentage.
 
Coleman Barnes (New Hampton, N.Y.) has driven in 11 runs for the Mount, second on the team, and is tied for the team lead with five doubles. Ryan Lutinski (Easton, Conn.) sits atop the team leaderboard in RBI with 14 on the strength of five doubles and a pair of home runs.
 
Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) anchors the pitching staff with a 3-2 record and a 1.38 earned run average. He has worked 39.0 innings and struck out 20 while allowing opponents to hit just .221. Liam Horan (Stony Point, N.Y.) has fanned a team-high 28 batters in 28.1 innings of work.
 
A Look At The Falcons: Albertus Magnus stands at 2-16 overall on the season and is coming off a doubleheader loss to Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Sunday.
 
Matt Lewczyk is hitting .450 over 20 at-bats while Ron Losacano is batting .283 in 46 at-bats. Losacano is tied for the team lead with 13 hits.
 
Jason Sullivan has driven in a team-high 14 runs and is tied for the team lead in home runs with two, while Joe Matthews has scored 10 times and driven in eight runs.
 
Tyler Baldwin and Ike Flannery have each won games on the mound for the Falcons with Baldwin pitching a team-high 24.1 innings. He has pitched to a 6.66 earned run average and struck out 16 opponent hitters.
 
Recent History: Since 2008, the two teams have met 14 times with the Mount holding an 8-6 record in the series. Mount Saint Mary has won four of the last six matchups.
