th straight game on Friday, rallying from a 12-point first half deficit to top Johns Hopkins 57-54. Friday's win improves Mount Saint Mary to 24-3 overall on the season.
Morina Bojka (Prospect, Conn.) led the Mount with 15 points in Friday's victory and leads the team in scoring on the season with 18.2 points per game on 45-percent shooting. She adds 8.0 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals for the Knights.
Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.), who totaled 11 points and three assists against Johns Hopkins, is good for 12.3 points and a team-high 2.9 assists per tilt. Smith shoots 47.7-percent from the floor overall and 36.5-percent from three-point range.
Annie Keenan (Nesconset, N.Y.) leads the Knights on the glass with 9.2 caroms per night and after scoring 14 points in Friday's win is good for 8.0 points per night.
Lauren Desrats (Warwick, N.Y.) chips in nearly right points and 3.2 rebounds per contest for Mount Saint Mary.
The Knights score 74.6 points per game on the season and shoot 39.5-percent overall, 29.6-percent from three-point range and 62.8-percent from the free-throw line.

Three Captains score in double-figures, led by 14.0 points from Sondra Fan who shoots 49-percent from the field and 42.7-percent from three-point range. Anaya Simmons checks in with 13.4 points per game with Natalie Terwilliger chipping in nearly 11 tallies per contest.
Christopher Newport scores better than 85 points per game as a unit while allowing just 53.5 points per game. The Captains shoot 46.8-percent overall as a team, 33.4-percent from three-point range and 66.1-percent from the free-throw line.
What's Next: The winner of Saturday's contest will move on to the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament next weekend.
Back On Top Of The Skyline: Mount Saint Mary won its 13th Skyline Conference Championship in program history on Saturday with a 61-53 triumph over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. From 2000-09 the Knights won 10 straight Skyline titles and then went back-to-back in 2011 and 2012.
All-Skyline Honors: After running through the Skyline Conference regular season with a 19-1 record, the Mount featured a pair of All-Skyline Conference selections and boasted three major award winners.
Morina Bojka (Boy-kuh) was named First Team All-League the conference's Player of the Year while
Katie Smith was tabbed a Second Team All-Conference performer. In addition,
Toriana Tabasco was named the Skyline Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Head Coach
Colleen Ames was tabbed the league's Coach of the Year.
Four Straight With 20: 2021-22 marks the fourth straight season that the Knights have amassed at least 20 victories. The Knights posted 21 victories in 2017-18, 23 wins in 2018-19 and to date in 2021-22 and an even 20 victories in 2019-20. Mount Saint Mary did not compete during the 2020-21 academic year.
How'd We Get Here: The Knights have won 12 straight games, including a 57-54 win over Johns Hopkins in Friday's First Round, and 20 of their last 21 heading into Saturday's contest with the Captains. The Knights last loss came on January 22 at the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
MSMC Tournament History: The Knights are making their 15th NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022 and have advanced to the Second Round for the seventh time in program history. The Mount's NCAA wins have come against RPI (2001), Albright (2008), Brockport (2009), Emmanuel (2011), Gwynedd Mercy (2012) , Westfield State (2019) and Johns Hopkins (2022).
1,000-point Club: Morina Bojka (Boy-kuh) scored her 1,000th career points on January 30 in a 95-64 road win at St. Joseph's-L.I. Bojka became the 17th 1,000-point scorer at Mount Saint Mary since the start of the 1991-92 season and has scored 1,211 career points heading into Friday's Frist Round contest.
Senior Leadership: The Knights have a total of 10 seniors or graduate students on the 2021-22 roster, including everyone in the projected starting lineup.
Seconds, Please: Nine players on the 2021-22 Mount Saint Mary roster will be making their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
