Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team will make its 15
th appearance in the NCAA Tournament Friday night when it takes on Johns Hopkins at Goldfarb Gymnasium in Baltimore, Md. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with Live Stats and Video available for those who are unable to attend.
Covid Considerations: Per Johns Hopkins University guidelines universal masking is required indoors while on the Homewood Campus. Additionally, JHU policy requires either a N95/KN95 mask or a combination of a surgical mask and cloth mask (doubled up).
We have permission for players actively in the game (and head coaches) to not be masked, but ask that you
please hold your team personnel accountable to being masked at all times when they are indoors on campus and not actively participating in the game. This includes being masked when on the bench and in locker rooms.

Concessions will not be provided and per current JHU campus policy food will not be allowed in Goldfarb Gym. Spectators will be permitted to enter with non-alcoholic beverages and re-fillable water bottles only.

Morina Bojka (Prospect, Conn.) who leads the team in scoring with 18.3 points per game on 45.2-percent shooting. Bojka adds 8.1 points per game, 2.6 assists and just over two steals per game.

Toriana Tabasco (Hillsdale, N.J.) checks in with 4.3 rebounds and 28 steals on the season.
Annie Keenan (Nesconset, N.Y.) leads the Mount on the glass with 9.4 rebounds per night and chips in with 7.7 points and 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per night.
Mount Saint Mary scores just over 75 points per game while shooting 39.6-percent from the floor, 29.5-percent from three-point range and 63.8-percent from the free-throw line.

A Look At The Johns Hopkins: Diarra Oden leads the scoring attack with 16.0 points per game, adding nearly five rebounds per game. Oden is the lone player scoring in double-figures for Johns Hopkins.
Johns Hopkins scores only 59.5 points per game but allows just 46 points per contest to its opponents. The Blue Jays shoot 37.6-percent from the floor overall, 25.7-percent from three-point range and 69.5-percent from the free-throw line. The Blue Jays allow opponents to shoot just 30.1-percent overall and 22.8-percent from long distance.

Back On Top Of The Skyline: Mount Saint Mary won its 13th Skyline Conference Championship in program history on Saturday with a 61-53 triumph over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. From 2000-09 the Knights won 10 straight Skyline titles and then went back-to-back in 2011 and 2012.
All-Skyline Honors: After running through the Skyline Conference regular season with a 19-1 record, the Mount featured a pair of All-Skyline Conference selections and boasted three major award winners.
Morina Bojka (Boy-kuh) was named First Team All-League the conference's Player of the Year while
Katie Smith was tabbed a Second Team All-Conference performer. In addition,
Toriana Tabasco was named the Skyline Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Head Coach
Colleen Ames was tabbed the league's Coach of the Year.
Four Straight With 20: 2021-22 marks the fourth straight season that the Knights have amassed at least 20 victories. The Knights posted 21 victories in 2017-18, 23 wins in 2018-19 and to date in 2021-22 and an even 20 victories in 2019-20. Mount Saint Mary did not compete during the 2020-21 academic year.
How'd We Get Here: The Knights have won 11 straight games, including a 61-53 win over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy to claim the 2022 Skyline Conference Championship, and 19 of their last 20 heading into Friday's contest with the Blue Jays. The Knights last loss came on January 22 at the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
MSMC Tournament History: The Knights are making their 15th NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022 and are have advanced to the Second Round six times in program history. The Mount's NCAA wins have come against RPI (2001), Albright (2008), Brockport (2009), Emmanuel (2011), Gwynedd Mercy (2012) and Westfield State (2019).
1,000-point Club: Morina Bojka (Boy-kuh) scored her 1,000th career points on January 30 in a 95-64 road win at St. Joseph's-L.I. Bojka became the 17th 1,000-point scorer at Mount Saint Mary since the start of the 1991-92 season and has scored 1,196 career points heading into Friday's Frist Round contest.
Senior Leadership: The Knights have a total of 10 seniors or graduate students on the 2021-22 roster, including everyone in the projected starting lineup.
Seconds, Please: Nine players on the 2021-22 Mount Saint Mary roster will be making their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Katie Smith, Julia Lavin, Morina Bojka (Boy-kuh),
Kylie Sisto, Lauren Desrats, Toriana Tabasco, Gabriella Rafaniello, Cameron Villanueva and
Annie Keenan were all on the roster in 2019 as either freshmen or sophomores.
The Ames File: Colleen Ames took over the Mount Saint Mary program prior to the 2019-20 season and through two seasons on the sidelines (no competition in 2020-21) has posted a 43-9 overall record and a 37-3 mark against conference rivals. Ames was named the 2022 Skyline Conference Coach of the Year.
What's At Stake: The winner of Friday's contest will take on the winner of the Mitchell and #1 Christopher Newport game (Friday, 5:30 p.m.), while the other will see its 2021-22 season come to a close.
